Class 1: Super-Potent / Ultra–High Potency
Topical steroids in this class are the strongest available and are often prescribed for short-term use on thick skin areas like the palms or soles. Due to their potency, they carry a higher risk of side effects and withdrawal. Always use with caution and insist on close medical supervision.
Class 2: Potent / High Potency
These are very strong steroids typically used for stubborn inflammation that doesn’t respond to lower classes. While slightly less powerful than Class 1, they still come with significant risks of withdrawal.
